have also been trying to optimize my sleep recently! Recently got nose strips which helped a ton. Considering red light -- how much of a difference does that really make compared to other soft colors?
Nice! Red light is supposedly ideal cause it's the longest wavelength and so least affects our eyes' "intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells" which regulate circadian rhythm / melatonin production. Other colors on that end of the spectrum like amber/orange might have similar benefits, even if they are slightly more stimulating than red, but I haven't tried any of them myself (only red and normal/white). Anyways I recommend, it's a kinda wild experience at first but over a couple days I got used to it, and then it has this kind of alternate-universe feel.
